Perspective is key to understanding current events. How did we get to where we are? What realities limit future possibilities? Which trends are real and which are illusions?

What is different about this site is the attempt to provide perspective. Numerous sites provide opinion, some better than others, but I try to give you information you may not have known that will help you form your own opinion. There’s nothing extraordinary about this; the information is out there, but picking out what’s important can be difficult. This is what I try to do for you.

Many of the posts will deal with Israel and the Middle East, but others will deal with issues in the U.S. and subjects of general concern.
